Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly in the running to sign Barcelona’s Raphinha during the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian midfielder signed for the Catalan club from Leeds. He has made 78 appearances in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 22 assists.

The 27-year-old has struggled this season with muscle injuries that have kept him out of a number of games. Raphinha has also faced strong competition for the right wing position at Barcelona from Spanish youngster Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona are expected to consider selling a number of their star players. Including the former Leeds star, due to the team’s recent financial woes.

According to Sport, Arsenal and Tottenham are the two clubs most interested in signing Raphinha in the summer transfer window. However, the task of signing the Brazilian international will not be easy. Barcelona have already received an €80m (£68m) offer from the Saudi Arabian league for Rafinha’s services.

Raphinha started his career at Victoria Guimarães in Portugal. He then moved to Sporting Lisbon but didn’t last long at the club. He joined Rennes in 2019. His outstanding performances led him to move to the English Premier League through Leeds, where he made 67 appearances, scoring 17 goals and assisting 12.

Worth mentioning. Raphinha has been included in the Brazil squad to face England and Spain in friendlies this month. Despite leaving Barcelona’s game against Atlético Madrid at the weekend due to injury.
