Teun Koopmeiners has announced his departure from Atalanta this summer and Premier League clubs are interested in signing the player in the summer transfer window.

The Dutch midfielder has thrived in Serie A with Atalanta Bergamo since joining the club in 2021 fromAZ Alkmaar. The 26-year-old has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for the Italian side this season. He has stated his intention to leave the club this summer for new challenges.

“Last year there was concrete interest from Napoli and the clubs ultimately negotiated with each other without results,” he told De Telegraaf.

“I have indicated to Atalanta that I want to make a move next summer. But there must be something very nice to exchange for that for Atalanta.

“My girlfriend and I are having a great time in Italy but I can endure the rain for some clubs in England. I hope there will be great options that I can think about.

“And then I hope that Atalanta receives a nice amount for me, because I had a wonderful time there.

“I would be lying if I said that I did not hear the alleged interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs. Of course I read that too or get it forwarded to me.”

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Juventus are interested in signing Koopmeiners after he announced his departure from Atalanta. English clubs are also interested in the services of Koopmeiners. Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle have sent their scouts to watch the player closely during his recent matches with his club.
