Chelsea will not make a move for Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, despite their admiration for the player in the past.

The Uruguayan striker has fuelled speculation by deleting photos of himself in a Liverpool shirt on social media. We posted a picture of him with team-mate Ronald Araujo, which linked Darwin with a move to Barcelona.

The 24-year-old striker has been criticised in recent times for missing a number of scoring opportunities, and was selected as a substitute against Tottenham, leading some to speculate that he could leave the club in the summer.

However, according to the 90min newspaper, Darwin Nunez is considered one of the pillars of the team in the coming period, and Liverpool will not allow him to leave the club, and therefore Chelsea will not move for him.

Nunez has made 52 appearances for the Reds this season. Scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists, yet the player has been heavily criticised in recent times.

Chelsea will be looking to sign a striker in the summer. And rumour has it that the club have set their sights on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško.
