Anfield battle ends in a draw between Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday evening in the 28th round of the Premier League.

It was a game of unrivalled excitement and suspense, with both sides going at it from the start of the game. Pep Guardiola’s side managed to score the first goal of the match through John Stones after Kevin De Bruyne’s corner.

Jürgen Klopp’s men tried to equalise in the first half but were unable to do so and the first half ended with Manchester City leading by one goal. In the second half, after several attempts, Darwin Núñez succeeded in getting a penalty kick, which was successfully executed by Argentinian Alexis Mac Allister to equalise.

Both teams continued to try and find the winner, but neither side was able to do so. Anfield battle ends in a draw. Each team earned a point, which made Liverpool drop to second place with 64 points, while Manchester City reached 63 points in third place.

Arsenal were the biggest beneficiaries after their win over Brentford left them top of the league with 64 points, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
