Gabriel Jesus continues to miss the Gunners’ games.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will continue to miss games after he suffered another setback in his recovery from injury, which will extend his time on the sidelines.

Despite the absence of Jesus, the team is performing well in the EPL, ranking third behind second-placed Manchester City and first-placed Liverpool, and Arteta has made no secret of his admiration for the Brazilian international, although he has not scored many goals, but his presence on the pitch scares opposing defences.

Gabriel’s return to the starting line-up has been met with optimism by the team’s medical staff, but Mikel Arteta revealed that a setback has caused Gabriel Jesus continues miss games for an extended period of time.

The Spanish gaffer said, as quoted by 90mins:

“We couldn’t resolve that as quickly as we wanted and he had a small reaction in training again.

“We didn’t want to take any more risks because he’s been out for quite a while and he’s a player that we need at his best and we decided to give him a few more days.”
