West Ham is on the hunt for a new striker this summer to lead their team next season. They’ve got their eyes on Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth. This season, West Ham has been playing Jarrod Bowen up front because Mikael Antonio’s been out a lot with fitness problems, and Danny Ingalls hasn’t really made a big impact on the team.
Solanke’s been doing great at Bournemouth, scoring 16 goals in 28 games in all competitions, which has got people thinking he might even play for England soon. His awesome playing has caught the attention of Newcastle too. Since moving from Liverpool to Bournemouth in 2019 for £19 million, Solanke has scored 72 goals in 202 games.
Being a homegrown player makes Solanke even more appealing to English teams, as it’ll be easier for him to join a new team and get used to the Premier League. Also, Liverpool’s set to get 20% of whatever Bournemouth makes from selling Solanke, thanks to a deal they made when he transferred.
The West Ham solanke signing will provide a strong addition to the Hammers’ attack and will provide greater dynamism in the forward line, which will help them achieve their goals for the upcoming season.
