Getafe Greenwood Man United deal still unclear
Getafe president Ángel Torres has confirmed that he will contact Manchester United management to sign Mason Greenwood in the summer.
The England international has been in fine form for the Madrid side, scoring 5 goals in La Liga this season, and is expected to return to Manchester United immediately after his loan spell, but his future at Old Trafford remains unclear.
Greenwood is admired by several Spanish clubs, especially Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who have been monitoring the player for some time, especially as Manchester United may be open to selling him permanently at a low price.
Getafe president Ángel Torres explained that he will try to communicate with Manchester United to reach an agreement that satisfies both parties, even if it is to renew his loan for another period of time. “We are willing to go the extra mile for Greenwood, because he deserves it,” Torres said
Getafe are currently 10th in the La Liga standings, and despite a 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in the last round, the Madrid side have a chance of achieving a position that will allow them to participate in a European competition next season, which may encourage Mason Greenwood to continue his adventure with the team.
