Casemiro Suggests City Model for United: Casemiro advocates using Manchester City as a model for Manchester United‘s resurgence, aiming for trophy-winning success under new ownership.

The Brazilian’s comments came after the Red Devils were beaten 3/1 by City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the team’s new minority owner, has stated that he wants to topple Manchester City and get Manchester United back on track after years of failure.

Casemiro believes the new minority owners can help bring United back to success. Casemiro suggests the City model, which has seen success in recent years

“The first big objective is to catch up with them at this moment,” Casemiro told ESPN Brasil. “Not in terms of history, as the history of United speaks for itself, but they are today the team to beat. Everyone wants to beat City.

“It is very clear the new owners (INEOS) want to evolve the club’s level, with City being our mirror. They have been doing a great job. I hope they (INEOS) help us grow together.”

Manchester United is currently sixth in the English league with 44. It may miss the Champions League next season as it is 11 points away from fourth-placed Aston Villa. This is what the club’s fans see as unworthy of a team of Manchester United’s calibre.
